It was not hard to spot this super-tall, four-story building along a major highway in Northern California near the Oregon border. It caught the eye of some enterprising advertising fellow who had his company's logo splashed up high and very visible. The red paint was faded, but the Exxon logo was still doing its job. Ten years after I did this drawing, I had trouble finding the tankhouse again. It probably has been demolished and replaced by a shopping mall.
